Stress is a pernicious terrorist within the human and animal systems. Amongst other things, it gradually destroys the immune system, troubles the liver, and harms the psyche'. Cancer and heart problems are other illnesses that are, often, directly linked to stress. Meditation, mental and physical relaxation exercises, and controlled breathing techniques are good antidotes to stress. Some types of physical exercise and a balanced diet certainly help as well. A good multi-B Vitamin supplement, Vitamin B6 and Folic Acid have also been found to be useful. Indeed, they are vital when you need to help your liver eliminate harmful stress hormones.

Whatever heals our mind or body will, probably, be very good for us. But let us not deceive ourselves, short term fixes are not the same as total wellness.

Cannabis for brain tumours
About four years ago, Spanish researchers discovered that an ingredient in marijuana may be useful for treating brain tumours. Apparently, the cannabinoids in marijuana could starve tumours to death by halting the growth of the blood vessels that feed into them. Studies were done on mice and a couple of humans, with much success. I haven't seen any further research on this, but it does sound promising.
